STYLE OF DRUM: Djembe/Drumset
Description of Drum Classes:

My specialty is the absolute beginner/intermediate drummer. My workshops run about 2 hrs. I take the participants through a series of steps including playing technique, rhythmic ear training exercises, traditional multi cultural rhythms as well as the full-on-anything goes drum circle jam at the end of the workshop. My teaching style is non-intimidating and all inclusive. The material we'll cover is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced players over the age of 12.

My main focus of the workshop is to use elements of traditional hand drumming to get folks playing music together. While I use elements of a community drum circle, my particular workshops go beyond the facilitated drumcircle. I mold each workshop experience around the participants abilities.
