Description of Dance Classes:  Lilik's teaching style is lively and entertaining, and her patience and good humor make learning a joy.  Inclusive, small classes with congenial ladies. Age and body type are never an issue in Lilik's classes.
Resumé of teacher:  Lilik began studying beautiful and exotic Indonesian folk dance in her homeland at the age of two.  She studied with her uncle, who was a master of dance.  At the age of five, she began traveling with her uncle's professional dance troupe.  Since coming to America, she has had extensive training in Middle Eastern dance (in Florida).  Lilik has a very strong background in jazz (competition level), ballet, and modern dance.  Her original and highly-praised choreographies are innovative and dynamic, and her skill and grace at hand movements are unequaled.  A former member of the Purple Roses of Cairo, she opened her own studio two years ago, and now directs the Lilik and Company World Fusion Dance Troupe.
