Class Schedule, Location & Fees:
School year program offered quarterly with annual spring youth concert.
Offering various levels of West African dance and drum classes to youth. Our
weekend schedule includes Horton Dance Technique with Nicki Clarke and Tap
dance
with Sara Payne.
Classes at Chicago City Colleges:
Grand Crossing Park, South Entrance
76th Street at Ingleside Ave.
Chicago, IL. (Go east from the 75th Street exit to Ingleside then go south 1
block to the park)
Dance Studios
$10 registration fee
$8/ class (with the exception of Guest Artists Classes)
Visitors welcome as drop ins
Registration for 10-12 week term recommended for youth ages 3-teens
Teachers Country of Origin and Village: African American & African nationals
are combined to create our artistic staff. Guest artists who have taught and set
work on the ALYO Youth Company include: Youssou Koumbassa, Assane Kouyate,
Amaniyea Payne, Sory
Bangourra, Mosheh Milon, Khatab Cissokho and more.

ALYO Youth Performance Company & ALYO Adult Ensemble available for bookings
Artistic Director recently returned from an International Programs African
studies tour with the Office of International Programs of Chicago State
University.
